 | Photography of Decay: Volume 1

Taken this image purely for the sense of a mirrored image, theres qualities of negative and positite shapes which have been collected due to the transfer of material. The removal of plaster from this wall has created a pattern which is only apparent until after the sticker is removed, So theres a feeling of discovery which could be gathered from observing this particular decay.

Between these two images, there is a variation of depth. The first image was of an old gate post. This image has a great feeling of sort of like cracking, of surfaces or ground. Also there is a few nice bursts of yellow towards the top. The other image, created from printing, is the remains of a print on some acetate which is quite similar to engraving or leaving grooves in material.

Some more fence posts, this time with a greater focus on the rusting and removal of layers in places especially in the first image where whole sections are erased creating a two-tonal appearance. The secondary image is more rusted, mixtures of grey and brown which create this pattern.

Alot of different qualities found this time round, there is staining with the slight cracks within the surfaces make the surface with all the variation in highlights almost appear like it was a more flexible and reflective surface.

Few final images where there is a large focus on more removal and a few natural elements creeping in where there is a green surface.
